EMRISE's Subsidiary, CXR Larus Corporation, Continues to Receive FAA Orders for FT2ER Fiber Transmission Product to Upgrade Communications Systems at Tier 1 Airports

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, California -January 18, 2006 - EMRISE CORPORATION (PCX:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic components and communication equipment, today announced that its subsidiary, CXR Larus Corporation, has received $260,000 in additional follow-on orders for immediate delivery from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its Model FT2ER extended range fiber transmission product. These orders are part of a multi-year program by the FAA to upgrade the communications systems of Tier 1 airports in the United States. The first of these two orders was for the upgrade of the communications systems at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport. The second order is for the expansion project in progress at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, the nation’s busiest airport. The FAA has upgraded many of the Tier 1 airports, including those in San Francisco, Chicago, San Jose, Dallas, Seattle, Phoenix and Boston, and expects to continue the program for the foreseeable future.

Larry Taillie, President of CXR Larus Corporation, commented, “CXR Larus’ extended range fiber transmission product has been the design standard for the FAA throughout the multi-year upgrade program. Our product’s simplicity, ease of installation and use and its outstanding reliability have made it the solution of choice for the FAA. While Tier 1 airports are now being upgraded, it is also expected that the FAA will continue the program with an additional 350 sizeable, Tier 2 facilities as part of their ongoing effort. The remaining Tier 1 airports, even without Tier 2 initiatives, will continue to drive demand for FT2ER product and provide a robust business for our fiber product over the next several years.”

Carmine Oliva, CEO of EMRISE Corporation, commented, “The FAA has been one of our largest customers for several of CXR Larus’ products, including the fiber transmission products such as these recent orders, and also for our CXR Halcyon line of test equipment. The FAA airport upgrade program is a $15 billion, multi-year program to improve the communications and general infrastructure of the U.S. air traffic control towers, one of the country’s most vital resources. EMRISE and CXR Larus are pleased with the confidence the FAA continues to place in our equipment and solutions. We are continuing to develop our communications product technology to be able to continue to serve this extremely important and demanding customer requirement. We expect in 2006 and beyond the FAA will remain one our most important domestic customers.”
