EMRISE CORPORATION SUBSIDIARY CXR LARUS CORPORATION ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF NEW STARCLOCKTM 200E (EXPANDABLE) FORECASTED 2006 REVENUE OF $2.3 MILLION IS EXPECTED FROM THE PRODUCT ENHANCEMENT RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, April 6, 2006 - EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE Arca:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic components and communications equipment, today announced that its CXR Larus subsidiary in San Jose, California, has introduced a new product enhancement to its standard base StarClock™ 200 timing and synchronization product, the new StarClockTM 200E. This product is an expandable timing system that permits the addition of new expansion shelves to be added to the base StarClock™ 200 master shelf. The master shelf can control a total of eight expansion shelves, meaning that well over 3,000 Stratum 1 accuracy outputs are available for fully timing even the largest central office. Control between the Master and Expansion shelves is accomplished by utilizing an array of Ethernet ports in a star configuration. Each Master and Expansion shelf can be equipped with an Information Management unit, providing full data control of each shelf independently. The new system is fully Network Equipment Building Standards (“NEBS”) Level 3 compliant, and certified per Telecordia Specifications, GR-1089 and GR-63-CORE. Production of the new StarClock™ 200E systems began in March, and the systems are now available for immediate delivery. It is expected that the StarClock™ 200E will allow CXR Larus sell to the larger carriers that require large and expandable timing and synchronization systems to serve their medium and large central office networks serving larger population centers. The sale of the expanded capability StarClock™ 200E was forecasted to provide incremental timing revenue of $2.3 million in 2006 for a 78 percent increase over 2005 sales for the base master shelf. Commenting on the new product enhancement, Larry Taillie, President of CXR Larus Corporation, stated, “While the timing and synchronization product has been the biggest seller in our product line, until the release of the StarClock™ 200E we have been precluded from selling to the larger carrier and ILEC market. With this new product enhancement we will be able to address the growing requirements of our existing customers like Nextel, Cox, Alltel and Motorola, while also, for the first time allowing us to respond to request for proposals which are now in progress at the Regional Bell Operating Companies. This enhancement of our existing StarClock™ product, along with other new products planned to address the “edge or remote” network requirements later in 2006, will position CXR Larus to participate in the growing timing and synchronization market well beyond 2006.” Carmine T. Oliva, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of EMRISE Corporation, commented, “Our CXR Larus satellite timing and synchronization product is the primary growth driver for the entire EMRISE Corporation. We delivered this product in accordance with our anticipated timeline and are excited to release the StarClock™200E. This product was forecasted to provide approximately $2.3 million in revenue in 2006 starting in the second quarter. The new product will provide us not only the ability to address the North American timing and synchronization market where we were previously focused, but also allow us to provide an expandable solution to address the market in Europe and Asia. This product introduction reaffirms the strategic decision to acquire the Larus Corporation in 2004 to enhance our entry into the exciting network timing telecommunications market.” About EMRISE CORPORATION EMRISE Corporation is a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic components and communications equipment.
