EMRISE CORPORATION RECEIVES FIRST PRODUCTION ORDERS FOR CUSTOM POWER SUPPLIES AND TEST EQUIPMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL MILITARY PROGRAM Production Orders Follow Recent Completion of Development and Pre-Production Contract RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, April 30, 2008 - EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE ARCA:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that it has received initial production orders valued at $450,000 for a range of military power supplies and test equipment from an existing European customer for use in an international military program. Deliveries are expected to be completed in 2008. These initial production orders, which follow the recent successful completion of the design and development phase of the program, were received by the company’s Xcel Power Systems Ltd. subsidiary (“Xcel”) located in England. EMRISE Chairman, President and CEO Carmine Oliva said “While, for security reasons, we are unable to disclose the specific military organization or applications involved, this is a key international military program and an important opportunity from one of our major European customers. We believe these orders are the first of expected on going orders we will receive for this program. . “These orders are evidence of the successful marketing of our custom military products by Xcel into continental Europe, an area where Xcel is capitalizing on the synergy between itself and our subsidiary in France, CXR AJ,” Oliva added. “Even though the orders are from an existing customer who buys different types of products from other EMRISE subsidiaries, for Xcel it is a new customer. Xcel is now beginning to enjoy substantial success marketing its products for the military and other harsh-environment markets into the continental European market, which offer much larger opportunities than those we have traditionally serviced predominantly in the U.K.” About EMRISE Corporation EMRISE designs, manufactures and markets electronic devices, sub-systems and equipment for aerospace, defense, industrial and communications markets.
