EMRISE RECEIVES INITIAL ORDER FOR TIEMPO™ EDGE NETWORK TIMING SYSTEMS FROM MAJOR US INTEGRATOR OF COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS

Sixth Major Integrator to Qualify TiemPo™ as Preferred Timing Device for Their Customers

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, November 5, 2008 - EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE ARCA:ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that it has received an initial $500,000 production order for it’s StarClock™ TiemPo™ next-generation network timing system from a major U.S. communications systems integrator. The order, which is for immediate delivery, is for a U.S. government agency telecommunications system upgrade. EMRISE Chief Executive Carmine T. Oliva, said that he expects this initial order to be shipped during the fourth quarter of 2008.

The order was received by EMRISE’s CXR Larus subsidiary located in San Jose, California. CXR Larus builds network timing and synchronization and other telecommunications network access products. Oliva indicated that he expects follow-on orders from this program which could bring the total orders for this program to in excess of $1 million. Oliva indicated that follow on orders would likely ship during the first half of 2009.

This order adds to a growing list of systems integrators, public utilities, private networks and other public communications carriers that have selected the StarClock TiemPo™ for their advanced network synchronization and timing needs. Oliva said this order brings the total number of major systems integrators who have qualified StarClock TiemPo™ for their systems to six and he indicated that the Company believes other system integrators will follow this trend. Oliva commented “Securing this order from yet another major systems integrator who will use our StarClock TiemPo™ as the preferred timing device in the upgrade of U.S. government communications systems infrastructures is a significant milestone in the growth of our TiemPo™ business.”

Oliva added “Now that StarClock TiemPo™ has been qualified by this systems integrator for this initial program, we expect our product will be specified as the preferred timing system for other programs the integrator is awarded going forward. “This order provides yet another validation that TiemPo™ is extremely competitive in meeting the timing and synchronization requirements of advance technology communications networks.”
