EMRISE RECEIVES ADDITIONAL ORDER IN EXCESS OF $3 MILLION FOR RADIO FREQUENCY DEVICES USED IN RCIED JAMMING SYSTEMS FOR U.S. MILITARY

Brings Total for RCIED Jamming Applications to More Than $7 Million Since ACC Acquisition

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, California - April 14, 2009 - EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE Arca: ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that it has received an additional order in excess of $3 million for radio frequency (RF) devices used in radio-controlled improvised explosive device (RCIED) jamming systems for the U.S. military. The order, which is part of a major program, was received from a large, existing customer. Shipment of the order is expected to be completed by the end of the 2009 second quarter.

RCIED jamming systems are designed to prevent the detonation of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Often called roadside bombs, IEDs wound or kill thousands of people in military conflicts and terrorist attacks around the world.

The order was received by the Company’s Advanced Control Components, Inc. (ACC) subsidiary that was acquired by EMRISE in August 2008, and it is a follow-on order from one of ACC’s customers involved in supplying RCIED jamming systems to the US military. ACC develops and supplies a wide variety of RF and microwave devices, including RF devices to support RCIED jamming systems.

EMRISE Chief Executive Officer Carmine T. Oliva said that this order brings the total value of orders received for RF devices used in life saving RCIED jamming systems to more than $7 million since the Company acquired ACC just eight months ago. Oliva also said that even though military priorities can change, the Company believes that RCIED jamming systems remain included in U.S. Department of Defense priority “force protection” programs.

“While we can give no guarantees, on top of this additional order for RF devices, we expect to receive from this existing customer, additional orders for this program.” “We are also expecting further orders from another customer for RF devices used in RCIED jamming applications.” Oliva added, “Once again, ACC has reinforced its importance to the Company and our shareholders by continuing to generate business that will make significant contributions to our top and bottom line performance.”
